On the morning of September 12, Li Yuguang, Deputy Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), met with Felix Addor, Deputy Director General of the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (SFIIP). The two parties introduced the basic information of their organizations and deeply discussed issues related to intellectual property.

 

During the meeting, Li expressed his appreciation for SFIIP's work in patent application and briefed on the drafting and modifications of the Patent Law of China. They also had a frank and detailed discussion on issues such as China's third modification of the Patent Law, patent application volume and patent law enforcement.

 

Addor expressed his thanks for the arrangement of the meeting and hoped the third modification of the Patent Law will benefit more domestic and foreign patent right holders. The Swiss also briefed on the information of patent law enforcement in Switzerland.
