On the morning of September 20th, Northeast Asia Hi-Tech Fair opened in Shenyang with the main theme of cooperation, innovation, development, and win-win. SIPO Deputy Commissioner He Hua was present at the opening and looked around the exhibition.

The three-day-long fair witnessed many talkfest such as the Software Outsourcing, Agricultural Science- Technological Innovation, International Cartoon Industry, Energy Efficiency and Pollutant Reduction Forum. Meanwhile, there were also a series of face-to-face conferences including new technique patent exchange for revitalizing China northeast old industrial base, introduction of new projects by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and press conferences for joint programs between China and Russia, Japan and Korea.

At the exhibition, lots of visitors were attracted by the latest Japanese and Korean software and cartoon art, Chinese industrial robot, robotic cleaner and intelligent service robot, Russian modern technology and equipment, and so on. Other technology and products related to new material, automatic technology, medical biotechnology, energy-saving and environment protection were displayed. Besides, CAS hi-tech achievement exhibition, with 200 exhibits and over 800 items of research achievement from its 81 research institutes, has represented the highest level of scientific and technological innovation since 2001.

The fair this year has attracted 542 companies from North Korea, South Korea, Japan, Mongolia, Russia, England, Germany, Italy, as well as China and has initiatively organized to show the up-to-date advanced technology and products in Northeast Asia.

It is learned that this is the only fair held in China for Northeast Asia in regional cooperation and hi-tech, and this is the third time Since 2004, Shenyang, the capital city of Liaoning Province in Northeast of China, has hosted this fair. The fair altogether has attracted more than 70,000-or-so people all over the world attended, and witnessed many contracted reached with a total value 56.5 million dollars. So it has become a regional platform for technological intercommunion and cooperation.
