Recently, the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) issued the "Notice on Assessment Work of National Intellectual Property Demonstration Cities" and formulated the "Assessment Indicators for National Intellectual Property Demonstration Cities (Provisional)", which marked the beginning of assessment work for national intellectual property demonstration cities.

 

The Notice clearly stated the time, scope, classification and procedures for the assessment, ensuring the order and credibility of the work.

 

The key indicators for assessment include: capacity and level of IPR management, ability and standard of IPR creation, level of IPR protection, implementation of IPR system, measures and effects for promoting patents information dissemination and utilization, measures and effectiveness of IPR publicity and cooperation, innovative initiatives and prominent effects.

 

58 specific assessment standards are worked out to guide the assessment.
