Zhang Qin Attending Opening Ceremony of the 14th China Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Fair

 

In the morning of November 5th, the 14th China Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Fair was inaugurated in Yang Ling Agricultural Hi-Tech Zone, Shaanxi Province. Li Meng, the vice president of CPPCC Standing Committee, announced the opening of the fair. Zhang Qin, the deputy commissioner of SIPO, attended the ceremony.

 

With the theme of "Technology Promotes Modern Agriculture", this fair established the platform for investments and technologies as well as branded products with independent IP, for patent technology trade and for promoting the development of agricultural technology. The organizers even wished the fair to help upgrade agricultural production ability and construct China's new countryside.

 

There are more than 150 agricultural technology patents owned by over 70 scientific research institutes from 22 provinces and municipalities exhibited in the fair. This is also the largest delegation SIPO has ever organized for the fair.

 

On the opening day, Mr. Li Meng, Yuan Chunqing, the governor of Shaanxi province, and Wang Xia, the deputy secretary of provincial Party Committee, as well as other senior officials visited SIPO's counter, and confirmed the efforts and roles SIPO had ever made in the agricultural Hi-Tech field. Mr. Zhang Qin introduced relevant information of SIPO delegation.

 

SIPO delegation, consisted of member units from famous Chinese universities, scientific research institutions and hi-tech agricultural enterprises, exhibited their patent products in the fields of crop farming, infrastructural agriculture, animal husbandry, agricultural biological technology, green food, traditional Chinese medicine, fruit industry and the processing of agriculture by-products, especially the patents in energy and water conservation environmental protection. The majority of the exhibits had patents or pending patent applications, or had geographic indications.

 

During the fair, it was said, a special show to promote the outstanding patent technologies concerning agriculture would be held, including crop breeding, gardening, farming and forestry machinery, the equipment for preserving freshness, storing and processing of agriculture products, new-type food, animal forage, fertilizer, etc.
