In the morning of November 10, the 2007 Innovation Grant Ceremony and China Wuxi International Industrial Design Fair were held in Wuxi. Wuxi Tan Xuemin, Vice Mayor of chaired the opening ceremony, and Tian Lipu, Commissioner of SIPO, attended the inauguration and declared the opening of the fair.

 

Themed as "innovation changes life, design fulfills future", this ceremony consists of several parts, including the fair, special activities at Wuxi (National) industrial design park, China International Industrial Design Summit Forum, Sino-British Forum on Creative Design, Seminar on Design Talent and Intelligence, design competition about a certain topic, as well as the ceremony granting 2007 Chinese Industrial Design Grand Ceremony Awards.

 

This is the forth time for SIPO to host such a grand ceremony in Wuxi, but it is the first granting ceremony for innovation awards in Asia, so it has attracted wide concern of designing fields from home and abroad.

 

China Wuxi International Industrial Design Fair, jointly hosted by China Industrial Design Committee and Wuxi Government, has a history of 8 years and has been held 5 times successfully. It is also the largest and the highest industrial design ceremony in China, so itself has become a well-known brand, and has been positively promoting the development of creative design industry in China.
