For encouraging Chinese women to participate invention, scientific achievement transformation and technological application, SIPO, All China Women's Federation and China Invention Association jointly declared the start of the Fourth New Century Women Inventor Competition recently.

 

The competition will have prizes for inventors, new stars, new entrepreneurs, and even organizations involving the competition. Detailed standards of each kind of prize are also declared.

 

According to the organizers of the competition, women academic pacesetters responsible for State-level key projects of independent IPR should have the priority to be recommended as the candidates.

 

For women inventors from Hong Kong and Macao who have registered their companies in hinterland and whose invention are finished in the hinterland, can also be recommended by local IP administration, women federation or relevant government department.

 

Those having applied in the previous three competitions can also be recommended again for the fourth if they have new inventions.

 

Component authorities will select local candidates or candidates from the respective industry from December 2007 to February 2008, and around the late part of April 2008, the competition organizing committee will release the winners based on public and judges' recommendations.
