In 2007, the content of English edition of SIPO website became more abundant and was updated more frequently, attracting 7.38 million visitors in 2007, more than 10 times of 700,000 in 2006.

 

The Patent Search is the most popular column in the website, taking 81.02 percent of the total, 49 times of 140,000 in 2006. Readers from Japan, USA and Europe take 32.69 percent, 30.19 percent and 21.19 percent respectively of whole overseas visitors.

 

In 2007, SIPO also made renovation of its English edition of website, speeded up patent information release, and the English digests were updated to one time every month instead of every quarter in 2006. Columns of English edition were also conformed, making its more convenient for readers. Now the news of English edition is renewed everyday, and in 2007 published 1,422 such news, 118 every month at average, 160 percent more than 2006. The visitors to the website also increased to 920,000 every month, 4 times more than 190,000 in 2006.
