On January 22, Mr. He Hua, Deputy-Commissioner of SIPO, met Mdm. María Teresa Gómez Condado, Sub-Secretary of Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, and Mr. Fernando Gurrea, Sub-Secretary of Spanish Ministry of Education and Science, who are leading the Well-Known Brand Forum Delegation from Spain to China. The two parties had a friendly discussion on cooperation in IP field.

 

After expressing his welcome to his Spanish guests, He Hua briefed the overall situation of SIPO, and expressed his wish to further bilateral understanding by the visit. "Although SIPO and Spanish Patent and Trademark Office have not had widespread cooperation since the two offices established formal cooperation relation in 1999, the cooperation has been friendly and stable." He said.

Mdm. María Teresa Gómez Condado felt grateful for He Hua's meeting, and also gave an introduction of Well-Known Brand Forum Society of Spain. Mr. Fernando Gurrea said the well-known brands had a bright future, and the delegation was impressed by the dramatic change of China during the visit. As 2008 Beijing Olympics going to happen soon, he felt confident that the well-known Spanish brands will flood into China and enjoy great benefits.
