On March 5, National Conference of Patent Agencies sponsored by Patent Office of SIPO was held in Changsha, capital city of Hunan Province. Mr. Guo Kailang, Vice Governor of Hunan, and Mr. He Hua, Deputy Commissioner of SIPO, presented at the opening ceremony.

 

He Hua stressed that patent agencies should be adhere to relevant laws and regulation, abide by operation rules, further regulate document processing and improve accuracy, upgrade service quality, actively act in concert with electronic examination and approving system, so as to promote quality and quantity of China's patent application. Meanwhile, the agency should also try and study how to expand its function and service.

 

In the conference, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Beijing and Tianjin agencies were named as advanced ones, while Shenzhen, Chongqing and Kunming as quality progress units. In addition, the participants also made analysis about patent acceptance, application charging and others.

 

Some 80 delegates from the State Patent Office, 24 patent agencies and officials from some provincial and municipal IP administration attended the event.
