On March10, Jiangxi Provincial Government and SIPO hold the third working meeting in Beijing and sign the working agreement in 2008. Ms Xie Ru, Vice Government of Jiangxi and Mr. Tian Lipu, Commissioner of SIPO, give speeches at the meeting, and sign the working agreement in 2008. Mr.Xing Shengcai, Deputy Commissioner of SIPO, presides the meeting.

 

Mr. Tian says that the regular meeting mechanism between two parties has important significance, as China has made IP work clear many times in its important documents, representing the attention to IP from Chinese government. IP strategy involves in the scientific way of development and building innovative country as well as each aspects of China social and economic development, so that must a long-term strategy.

 

"In 2007, the meeting mechanism and cooperation has been finished successfully," Tian continues, "mostly because of hard work by Jiangxi government."  "Patent quality is of more priority than quantity, and Jiangxi has set up a good example in this."

 

Ms. Xie introduces the IP work in 2007, and the ideas about cooperation in 2008 She wishes SIPO gives Jiangxi more support in training, standardization of IP work in enterprises, IP assistance and service, formulation of IP strategy as well as relevant aspects. Xie also expresses gratitude to SIPO for its aids to the ice-storm.
