In the morning of March 11, Working Meeting between SIPO and Shanghai Municipal Government is held in Beijing, Mr. Tian Lipu, Commissioner of SIPO and Ms. Zhao Wen, Vice-Mayor of Shanghai, attends the meeting.

 

"Shanghai has been attaching great attention to SIPO, and at the leading position in China for years. The achievement Shanghai made in recent years in IP field has approved what the regular meeting mechanism has planned," Tian says. "SIPO will support the construction of Shanghai IP information and public service platform, and technical support in patent data resource. Shanghai should make more effort in IP field, and take the lead in patent information analysis as well as other fields for all Yangtze River delta area. " He also wishes Shanghai to make full us of Qualification Test for Patent Agents to find out new way of IP professional training, and to encourage its inventions and patents holders to apply patents in other countries," Tian adds.

 

Mr. Chen Zhixing, director of Shanghai IP Administration, gives introduction what the working meeting has discussed, and the plan for the cooperation. "Since the meeting mechanism established over one year ago, the two parties have achieved a lot in construction of public service platform, model IP Demonstration Park and staff training." Chen wishes SIPO to give more support to Shanghai in various aspects of IP field, such as patented technology industrial incubators, settlement of international IP disputes and international exchange.

 

"Shanghai municipal government has clearly realized the special significance of IP in Shanghai's development," Ms. Zhao Wen says.

 

During the working meeting the two parties agree to hold the 1st Cooperation and Consulting Conference between SIPO and Shanghai Municipal Government in this May in Shanghai.
