Mr. Tian Lipu, Commissioner of SIPO and Mr. Li Yuguang, Deputy Commissioner, meets Mr. Chen Yunxian, Mayor of Foshan City, Guangdong Province, recently in Beijing. Chen gives his introduction about of progress of his city for becoming a National IP Model City.

 

Chen says that since it was appointed as a candidate city of National IP Model City, Foshan has taken brand patent, standardization creativity as main aspects of its effort, and done a lot in patent creation, transmission and industrialization, IPR protection and IP management. Meanwhile, IP work in enterprises and institutions has been improved.

 

Mr. Tian fully confirms Foshan's effort and achievement in IP field, and agrees its idea to attach special attention to private and foreign-invested enterprises. "SIPO will establish a effective mechanism with Foshan under the policy of establishing National IP Model City, and give Foshan more support in training, personnel exchange and enterprise patent alliance, " Tian continues.

 

Mr. Li Yuguang says Foshan has made significant progress, and he expects the city to create more records in whole China's IP work.
