The first term of 2008 IP Distance Education is formally launched recently, which lasts from April 1 to July 31, 2008. The Curriculum includes Basic Course of IP-Related Laws, IP Document Information and Retrieve, Law for Countering Unfair Competition, Practical Course of Patent Agent, International Prevention of IPR and Copyright Law.
China Intellectual Property Training Center (CIPTC) modifies the Basic Course of IP-Related Laws by upgrading and enriching its content. By adopting the technology of three-part-separated screen, the course is more vivid to students. On the basis, CIPTC plans to gradually use this technology in more courses to further enrich curriculum patterns on the platform of China’s IP distance education. Up to date, more than 1,000 people have registered for this term of training.
Meanwhile, CIPTC cooperates with colleges and universities to actively explore innovations in teaching methods. It combines distance education and the mode of face-to-face teaching, maintaining a new mode of cooperation with colleges and universities by perfectly linking up online education with classroom education. In the first half this year, a total of 3,500 people from colleges and universities are expected to participate in the IP distance education.
