Xing Shengcai Attends the Organizing Committee Conference of the 11th China Beijing International Hi-Tech Expo

 

The Organizing Committee Conference of the 11th China Beijing International Hi-Tech Expo (CHITEC) is held on April 15, reviewing and adopting the general activity program of CHITEC. Xing Shengcai, Head of the Discipline Inspection Team Stationed in the SIPO, attends the conference and delivers a speech, noting SIPO will give energetic support to CHITEC, especially in terms of IPR protection.

This year, Beijing will host the Summer Olympic Games. The special background and rare opportunity also give distinctive characteristics to CHITEC. As the largest scale expo for international scientific, technological and economic exchanges and cooperation held in China before the Olympic Games, the CHITEC this year will take “Hi-tech Olympics and Scientific and Technological Innovation” as its theme, highlight the great efforts and inspiring achievements made by Chinese Government and people from all walks of life in realizing the three concepts of “Green Olympics, Hi-Tech Olympics and People’s Olympics,” and display the strong support provided by scientific and technological innovation for holding a “high-level Olympics with distinguishing features”, adjusting the national economic structure and constructing ecological civilization.

CHITEC this year is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Information Industry, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Beijing Municipal Government and SIPO, and will be held in Beijing from May 20 to 25. During the period, a series of activities like exhibition, forums on special topics, economic and trade fair and exchanges on specific topic will also be held.
