April 26 is the World Intellectual Property Day and the series of activities of the annual IP Protection Publicity Week also reach the climax. Sponsored by SIPO, China Patent Information Release Conference is held by China Patent Technology Development Corporation in Beijing on that day. Five patent holders introduce their inventions to several dozens of enterprise representatives, investors and journalists, attracting great interests from the participants.

The conference is an activity newly added to the IP Protection Publicity Week. According to related chief of the activity, China’s IP cause progresses rapidly in recently, but not balanced developed. In particular, the creation capacity and management level of high-quality independent IPR are comparatively lower and the channels for patent and technology achievements transformation are not smooth. Recently, the Executive Meeting of the State Council reviews and adopts in principle the Compendium of the National IP Strategy, and the IP strategy is soon to be implemented. This is a rare opportunity, as well as a great challenge. Under the circumstance, it is one of SIPO’s important works to actively explore and standardize patent information spreading, prosper patented technology market and help and encourage enterprises to develop and implement patented technologies.

The five patented technologies such as Nanocrystalline Silicon/Monocrystalline Silicon Heterojunction Solar Cells and Manufacturing Methods are recommended through the National Union Publication Platform of Patent Information. Many enterprises representatives and investors indicate that they will further discuss with inventors. Meanwhile, they hope such conference which is sponsored by governmental departments and reviewed by professional institutions could be regularly held to publicize patented projects through legal channels.
