New Edition of Government Web Portal of National IP System Put Into Service

 

On April 25, just before the eighth World Intellectual Property Day, the new edition of government web portal of the national IP system (hereafter referred as government IP web portal) is put into online service.

The work of redesigning the government IP web portal starts in November 2007. After several months’ efforts, the new edition with great improvement made in the column layout, page structure and service functions completes. Its new characteristics are as follows:

First, the columns are adjusted in an overall manner with distinct page partition. On the one hand, the information resources are rearranged according to the requirements of the performance index system of government web portal, and are displayed in the form of six channels, including government affairs, services, interaction, information, affair handling and information retrieval; on the other hand, new columns such as government affair publicity are added to facilitate the public to accurately and conveniently get the information they need.

Second, the functions of service and affair handling of the web portal are highlighted. In the new edition, the service columns are integrated according to service procedures and some personalized service functions such as information relativity are added. Meanwhile, the edition has new columns such as guide of patent application, patent agencies and opinion solicitation, further intensifying the functions of affair handling and the public participation and providing systematic and comprehensive services to patent applicants.

Third, the interface of the portal is more beautiful and the pages are more lucid and lively. The home page of the portal continues the style of the old edition. Based on blue and red, new color elements like yellow and green are added, making the whole page livelier. At the same time, the page design conforms to the international WEB norms. The portal supports various mainstream browsers and accelerates users’ browsing speed.

On the eighth World Intellectual Property Day, the new edition of government IP web portal publicizes special coverage such as the Publicity Week of IPR Protection, the World Intellectual Property Day, the Open Day of SIPO and the IP Strategy; it also launches live broadcasts in photo and text many important activities such as 2008 High-Level Forum on IPR Protection of China, the Symposium of IP and the 30th Anniversary of the Reform and Opening Up, and the Open Day; Cooperating with Tianjin IP Administration, the portal covers many activities such as the online interview of “IP helping the Development of Binhai New Area.” Through wide publicity, the portal plays the important roles of promoting China’s IP policies and serves as an important window for the social public to learn IP information.
