On the morning of May 7, SIPO Deputy Commissioner He Hua meets Helge Rasmussen, the visiting Principal Director of European Patent Academy (EPA) and his party in Beijing.

Mr. He first briefs Mr. Rasmussen on the latest achievements made by SIPO in patent examination and staff training in recent years. He notes that SIPO maintains long-term friendly cooperation with European Patent Office. Regarding examiner training, SIPO gains strong supports from EPA and he hopes both sides can further strengthen mutual understandings and exchanges through bilateral cooperation in training. Mr. He says that great potentials exist in bilateral cooperation. SIPO has made certain progresses in basic training and hopes to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with EPA in areas of mutual interests such as high-level training.

Mr. Rasmussen introduces EPA’s basic functions and expressed his appreciation to SIPO’s achievements in basic training. He hopes to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with SIPO in areas such as training.
