Sino-Mongolian Symposium on IP Law Enforcement Held in Nanjing, Tian Lipu Attends the Symposium and Delivers a Speech

 

On May 26, the Sino-Mongolian Symposium on IP Law Enforcement, jointly sponsored by SIPO and the Intellectual Property Office of Mongolia (IPOM) and held by Jiangsu Provincial IP Administration, opens in Nanjing. Tian Lipu, SIPO Commissioner, Namjil Chinbat, Director General of IPOM and Zhang Taolin, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government attend the opening ceremony and deliver speeches.

On behalf of the Chinese side, Mr. Tian notes in his speech that as the close neighbors, China and Mongolia deepen political mutual trusts and enhance cooperation of mutual benefits. On IP-related international affairs, China and Mongolia understand and help each other, maintaining close coordination and cooperation. On the basis of IP cooperation agreement signed by the two governments in 2005, China and Mongolia had held symposiums on IP legal systems twice. This is the third joint symposium, which will provide a sound interactive platform for Chinese people to better understand IP law-enforcement regime in Mongolia, help the two offices to increase mutual trust and learn from each other, and jointly discuss IP law-enforcement system construction.

Mr. Chinbat delivers a speech on behalf of Mongolian side.

In his speech, Mr. Zhang indicates the symposium in Jiangsu Province will exert positive roles for the province to learn from the experience of IP law enforcement in Mongolia and further create the social atmosphere of “respecting knowledge and protecting innovation.”

At the symposium, Mongolian IP delegation members brief on IP law-enforcement mechanisms in Mongolia from the criminal, civil and administrative angle, introduce the experience of IP law enforcement and discuss the roles of patent agencies.

More than 300 representatives from related units of Jiangsu Provincial IP Administration, municipal-level IP administrations under Jiangsu jurisdiction, IP Administration of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, enterprises, academic circle, IP agencies and Mongolian students in Nanjing participate in the symposium.

Prior to the symposium, Mr. Tian, meets Mr. Zhang, deeply exchanging views on the IP work in Jiangsu Province.
