Recently, the Sino-Mongolian Forum on IP Law Enforcement is jointly held by Jiangsu Provincial IP Administration and Jiangsu Provincial Higher People’s Court in Nanjing, capital of province. Li Yuguang, SIPO Deputy Commissioner and Namjil Chinbat, Director General of Intellectual Property Office of Mongolia (IPOM) attend the forum.
Mr. Li first extends his congratulations to the series of successful activities such as the Sino-Mongolian Symposium on IP Law Enforcement held recently in Nanjing, and puts forward proposals on the development prospect of IP cooperation between the two countries. He notes that SIPO will continue to strengthen bilateral exchanges in IP sector in the form of symposium and intensify cooperation in personnel training.
Mr. Chinbat points out that the work of promoting IPR protection is becoming increasingly important with the constant economic development. Mongolia should learn from China in this regard and introduce administrative law-enforcement measures, especially the practice of setting up law-enforcement consultation and supervision centers at large-scale exhibitions to provide on-the-spot services for right holders’ interests. He says IPOM will strengthen its efforts in IP personnel training.
After promulgating Patent Law in 1993, Mongolia starts IP-related trainings to judges.
