On June 11, China IP Society holds a conference in Beijing to announce the establishment of Professional Commission of IPR Protection.

The Commission will launch academic researches on IPR protection, organize publicity, education and training of IPR protection, direct its members to utilize, protect and administrate their IPRs and lift their capacities of self-protection, self restraint and self-development in IP sector; by bringing the research advantage of China IP Society into full play, the Commission will specially research some comparatively prominent issues theoretically and practically in IPR protection, deeply launch the appraisal and survey works of IPR protection and put forward suggestions of IPR protection in aspects such as guild, policy and legislation.

The conference also discusses the Constitution of the Professional Commission of IPR Protection of China IP Society (draft). Experts and commission members believe that it is very important for the Commission to serve enterprises and participate in enterprises’ IP operations. The Commission needs to have a particular and sustainable working mode to clarify its service targets, emphasizes on protecting national brands and combines theory researches with the activity of theory serving practice. It will launch special researches on some particular topics of great significance, making contribution to promote the rapid and sound development of IP cause.
