He Hua (second right) meets Japanese patent examiners

On the morning of July 22, SIPO Deputy Commissioner He Hua meets three visiting patent examiners from Japan Patent Office (JPO) in Beijing.

Mr. He points out that it is the first time for Japanese patent examiners to have long-term investigations in SIPO. He hopes these Japanese examiners can find out the similarities and differences between the two offices during the fruitful trip, and put forward suggestions to improve examination efficiency and quality. He hopes the program can continue the sound relations between the two offices and make contribution to their development.

On July 14-25, JPO dispatches three senior patent examiners to SIPO for a two-week visit. During their stay in China, these examiners conduct one-to-one discussions and exchanges with their counterparts in SIPO and visit patent agencies and Patent Re-Examination Board. Japanese patent examiners also give a lecture on sorting and retrieval system of JPO.
