On August 12, the Cooperation Consultation Conference between SIPO and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People’s Government and the Signing Ceremony of the Cooperation Protocol of Jointly Promoting the Development of IP Cause in Xinjiang is held in Urumqi. Tian Lipu, SIPO Commissioner, Yang Gang, Deputy Secretary of CPC Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Committee and Executive Vice Governor of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Erkenjiang Tulahong, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Committee and Song Jianye, Deputy Commander of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps attend the conference.

Mr. Tian and Mr. Yang sign the Cooperation Protocol of Jointly Promoting the Development of IP Cause in Xinjiang on behalf of SIPO and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People’s Government respectively. According to the Protocol, the two sides will make joint efforts to promote the formulation and implementation of Xinjiang IP strategy, construction of IP talent teams, perfection of IP administration system and operation mechanisms of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the construction of IP’s capacity of public service of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, research the developing trends and strategies of patent technologies in coal chemical industry in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, construct a platform for IP exchange and cooperation between east, central and west regions, support the project of fostering IP advantageous enterprises and the construction of pilot bases of patent technology industrialization, deepen IP pilot and demonstration works and encourage IP cooperation and exchanges with countries in Central Asia.

The establishment of the consultation system is the important strategic decision to carry out IP strategies and implement the spirit of the CPC Central Committee, marking a closer and higher level of cooperation between Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People’s Government and Sipo.

The Signing Ceremony of the Cooperation Protocol of IP Counterpart Support of the East, Central and West Regions is also held on that day.

Heads of related departments of SIPO, related departments of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and some local IP administrations participate in the signing ceremony.
