The CPC Central Committee and the State Council recently commend the advanced collectives and individuals of Beijing Olympics and Paralympics at the Great Hall of the People. Information Division of SIPO General Affairs Office wins the honorable title of Advanced Collective.

 

In order to prepare for Beijing Olympic Games, Information Division of SIPO General Affairs Office actively plans and organizes series of publicity activities related to Olympic IPR in various forms and with abundant contents, playing an important role in strengthening Olympic IPR protection and creating the sound opinion atmosphere for the success of Beijing Olympics and Paralympics.

To quickly respond to emergent news, as a department to receive domestic and foreign media, Information Division of SIPO General Affairs Office appoints special persons to work in shift all day round. During the Olympic Games, it edits and publishes Weekly Information----Olympic IPR Special and totally collects and sorts out nearly 300 Olympic IPR-related reports from domestic and foreign media, providing conditions for timely taking countermeasures.

Before Beijing Olympic Games, Information Division of SIPO General Affairs Office plans and produces the series of TV documentary of Olympic IPR protection-Classroom of Olympic IPR, which is televised in various media. At the same time, it also organizes many paper-based media to publicize information on Olympic IPR with prominent effect and sound social response, a practice highly appraised by related departments. As the competent department for detailed work, Information Division successfully organizes the press conference jointly held by SIPO and Beijing Olympic Press Center, which briefs journalists at home and abroad on the information on China's IPR protection. Many domestic and foreign media actively report China's measures and achievements in Olympic IPR protection. In July, the Division also organizes the central media to report China's achievements of IP cause, and, combining SIPO works, launches publicity and education on Olympic spirit in SIPO setups together with related departments.
