SIPO Commissioner Tian Lipu recently leads a delegation of China's IP circle to Germany, and participates in the Sino-German IP Symposium jointly held by SIPO and German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA) in Munich with a theme of "Patent System: Economy and Traditional PCT-New Cooperation Mode." Mr. Tian delivers a keynote speech.
During his stay in Germany, Mr. Tian attends the annual consultation with DPMA President Dr Jurgen Schade, and discusses on issues such as the latest development of the two offices, bilateral cooperation in the next stage and personnel training. Both parties unanimously believe that the two offices should, on the basis of the Agreement of Partnership signed in 2007, further deepen and strengthen the existing cooperation and constantly increase cooperation scale and expand cooperation areas.
Mr. Tian speaks at the opening ceremony of the Sino-German IP Symposium of "Patent System: Economy and Traditional PCT-New Cooperation Mode," and delivers a keynote speech entitled "IP System Among Laws, Economies and Technologies." More than 80 people from economic, scientific and political areas of both countries and experts from SIPO and DPMA attend the symposium. After that, participants discuss in different groups around the two themes of "Patent System" and "Economy and Traditional PCT-New Cooperation Mode." The symposium is of great significance to discussing the future developing trend of IP system and the roles of IP system in the national economy and science and technology.
