On December 8, the Fourth Symposium on China-ASEAN Entrepreneurs Exchanges opens in Beijing. SIPO Deputy Commissioner Zhang Qin participates in the opening ceremony and delivers a speech. Cheng Siwei, former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and officials from ASEAN Secretariat, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Hong Kong Intellectual Property Department attend the opening ceremony.
Mr. Zhang points out that in the future, what determine an enterprise's strength are no longer limited to capital and materials. Technologies and designs are the most valuable wealth for enterprises. IP capital has become an enterprise's important income source and a key factor of gaining the future competitiveness. He stresses that the Compendium on China National IP Strategy issued by the State Council clearly lists the work of promoting IPR creation and utilization as one of the strategic keys.
Sponsored by China National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation and guided by SIPO, the symposium aims at exploring the advanced experience of the global intellectual capital management so as to establish the exchange and communication channels and mechanisms for entrepreneurs in China and ASEAN nations for the goal of promoting intellectual capital management through joint cooperation.
