On December 19, the opening ceremony of the "IP Channel", jointly sponsored by SIPO and www.people.com.cn, is held in Beijing. SIPO Commissioner Tian Lipu attends the ceremony and launches the "IP Channel" together with Ma Li, Deputy Editor in Chief of People's Daily.

An open Internet space with functions of innovation demonstration, experience exchange and information sharing, the "IP Channel" of www.people.com.cn currently possesses more than 20 columns in five categories of news, viewpoint, corporate IP management, focus and demonstration with content covering patent, trademark, copyright and other IP-related areas. The concepts of the "IP Channel" include: focusing on important people and event in IP sector; reporting on China's IP legislation, law enforcement and IP-related news; publicizing advanced IP administration concept and experience; discussing the frontline issues of IP theories; initiating harmonious and fair market competition orders; and making efforts to construct a bridge of diversified international exchange and cooperation.
