Li Yuguang Meets with the Business Delegation of Taiwan-Based Chinese National Federation of Industries

 

On the morning of February 27, SIPO Deputy Commissioner Li Yuguang meets with the visiting business delegation of Taiwan-based Chinese National Federation of Industries (CNFI) in Beijing. The two parties exchange views on the Summary of IP Cooperation Across Taiwan Straits in 2009 that is expected be signed soon.

Mr. Li points out that cross-straits cooperation is a long-term work that can help promote business development across Taiwan Straits. He notes that the modified Patent Law will come into effect on October 1 this year and he hopes Taiwan merchants can better protect their rights and interests by taking advantage of the new law.

Lien-sheng Tsai, CNFI Secretary General notes that Taiwan merchants pay high attentions to IP exchanges and joint efforts of cracking down on counterfeits and piracy. The bilateral exchanges and cooperation can help promote industrial development and joint international market exploration.

Li Jianrong, Secretary General of All-China Patent Agents Association introduces related information of her association and says that her association will make further efforts to know better about the needs of Taiwan merchants to promote the development of patent cooperation across Taiwan Straits.
