SIPO recently finishes and replies all the 21 CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) proposals assigned by the First Session of the 11th CPPCC of 2008. The proposals cover areas such as improving IP administration system, strengthening IP information service, establishing IPR safeguard mechanism and preventing IPR abuse.

According to Gan Shaoning, Director of SIPO Office, though not big in quantity, the proposals assigned to be handled by SIPO are really important, serving as the references of SIPO's work.

SIPO attaches great importance to the handling of CPPCC proposals and keeps contact with proposers through visits, seminars, phone conversations and letters.
