On April 21, SIPO holds an information briefing conference in Beijing for foreign embassies and some enterprises in China to introduce the latest development of SIPO. More than 30 people including related officials in various embassies and representatives from foreign enterprises attend the conference.

The participants exchange views on issues such as the 2009 Action Plan of IPR Protection in China, quality management of patent examination, cycle of patent examination, patent information retrieval service, patent statistics and data analysis, capacity of patent administrative law enforcement, patent compulsory license, standards for the authorization of patent of design and standardization of changing from patent to criteria.
