Meeting with the visiting Chief Executive of the United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office, Ian Fletcher recently, SIPO Commissioner Tian Lipu lauded the established ties between the two offices and stressed SIPO's intent to further such ties.  Fletcher said the UK office has made cooperation with SIPO one of its key tasks in external cooperation in view of IPR's increasing role in global economic environment and echoed Tian's comment on further cooperation.   

 

Both sides also updated each other on their own developments, discussed details of cooperation items in 2009 and shared comments on important developments in the international IPR system, fast track for green tech patent applications and impact of the financial crisis on IPR.
