Shen Changyu Meets Hong Kong Director of Intellectual Property in Beijing

Recently, SIPO Commissioner Shen Changyu met with the delegation led by Ada Ka-lai Leung, Hong Kong's Director of Intellectual Property, in Beijing. Mr. Shen said that, since Hong Kong has become more innovative and internationally competitive in recent years, it should take advantage of the important opportunities provided by China's efforts to become a strong nation in terms of intellectual property and increase the depth and breadth of its cooperation with mainland China on intellectual property issues. He said that, in so doing, Hong Kong could obtain more room for growth and an inexhaustible source of impetus and fully leverage its unique role in China's efforts to further reform and open up. Ms. Leung thanked the SIPO for its ongoing aid and support and said that she hoped to see more cooperation on patent examination and personnel training between the two sides.
