He Zhimin Meets with Nokia Executive Vice President Barry French in Beijing

 

On May 7, Deputy Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) He Zhimin met with Nokia Executive Vice President Barry French and his delegation. He Zhimin talked about the latest development of China's legal and working system of intellectual property (IP). He said Nokia, as a representative of multinational high-tech corporations, has played an important role in promoting technological innovation and IP communication and cooperation among corporations. Nokia has also made unremitting efforts to promote corporations' patent operation. He also expressed wishes that the two sides would strengthen mutual understanding for IP development. Barry French talked about Nokia's development in recent years, especially issues concerning intellectual property, and also praised SIPO for its efforts in promoting IP system development and IP rights protection.
