BEIJING, Apr.18 (SIPO) -- He Zhimin, Deputy Commissioner of State Intellectual Property Office of P.R.C. (SIPO) led a delegation to participate in the International Conference on Intellectual Property and Development held by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on April 7. During the conference, He Zhimin met with WIPO Director General Francis Gurry, Deputy Director General Wang Binying, Deputy Director General Mario Matus, Deputy Director General John Sandage and Assistant Director General Yo Takagi.

The International Conference on Intellectual Property and Development was an important activity held by the WIPO within its development agenda. Hundreds of representatives, specialists and scholars from the governments, intellectual property right (IPR) holders, industry associations, institutions of higher learning, inter-governmental organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGO) around the world attended the conference. They exchanged extensive views on how to promote development via intellectual property (IP).
