China's 2015 IP Development Press Conference Held in Beijing

 

 

BEIJING, Apr.22 -- As an important activity for the 2016 National Intellectual Property Week, the press conference on China's 2015 Intellectual Property Development was held in Beijing on April 19. Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office of P.R.C. (SIPO) Shen Changyu, Deputy Director of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce of P.R.C. (SAIC) Liu Junchen, and Deputy Director of the National Copyright Administration of the People's Republic of China (NCAC) Yan Xiaohong attended the conference and answered questions from the journalists.

SIPO Commissioner Shen Changyu first introduced the development of China's intellectual property (IP) and answered questions concerning the 13th Five-Year Plan of IP, the protection of e-commerce intellectual property rights (IPR), and the stricter enforcement of IPR protection. Deputy Commissioners Liu Junchen and Yan Xiaohong then answered questions concerning trademark registration and protection, the implementation of trademark strategy, and the protection of copyright on the internet. The press conference was chaired by Qiu Yanchun, Deputy Director of the State Council Information Office of P.R.C. (SCIO). China Central Television (CCTV) conducted live broadcast of the press conference, and journalists and representatives from China News Service, China Radio International (CRI), Economic Daily, China Daily, Phoenix Satellite Television, and Insight China raised questions at the conference.
