The 14th "Optics Valley of China" International Forum on IPR Held

 

Nov.10 -- The 14th "Optics Valley of China" International Forum on Intellectual Property Rights opened in Wuhan on November 3. Deputy Director of the State Intellectual Property Office of the P.R.C (SIPO) Liao Tao and Vice-governor of the Hubei Provincial People's Government Guo Shenglian attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
  
Liao Tao said that China attached high importance to intellectual property (IP) work, and had implemented strategic deployments such as implementing IP strategy, strengthening the use and protection of IP and constructing an IP-strong country. By now, China has preliminarily established a law and regulation system that conforms to international norm, an IP protection mode with Chinese characteristics and a comprehensive IP management and service system. The IP awareness of the whole society has been enhanced gradually.
  
Since 2001, the "Optics Valley of China" International Forum on Intellectual Property Rights has played an active role in raising the international cooperation awareness of high and new tech enterprises, broadening cooperation channel for IP and promoting the rapid development of the high and new technology industry. The IP work of the Hubei Province, and even the whole country, will benefit from the forum.

Officials, scholars, lawyers and practitioners in IP field delivered speeches on the practice and cases of IP operation and the application of IP information in innovation and competitive intelligence and exchanged views with representatives of the forum. (Translated from China IP News)
