Sheng Changyu Meets with WIPO Deputy Director General John Sandage in Beijing

 

Nov.29 -- Recently, Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office of the P.R.C (SIPO) Shen Changyu met with John Sandage, Deputy Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views and looked forward to bilateral cooperation on the PCT system. Shen Changyu said that the PCT system has become an important channel for Chinese enterprises to protect their intellectual property rights (IPR) and apply it to accelerate the process of "go global", and that the SIPO is willing to continue to cooperate closely with the WIPO to provide better services to IP users. Sandage gave positive remarks on the achievements China has accomplished in the field of PCT international application, and expressed the hope to continue to strengthen cooperation between the two sides and expand cooperation fields.
