China-Japan-Korea International Symposium on Intellectual Property Held in Beijing

 

Sep.6 -- Recently, cohosted by the China Intellectual Property Society (CIPS), the Intellectual Property Association of Japan (IPAJ) and the Korea Industrial Property Law Association (KIPLA), the China-Japan-Korea International Symposium on Intellectual Property was held in Beijing. Deputy Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office of the P.R.C (SIPO) Gan Shaoning attended and addressed the symposium. Gan Shaoning said that, as three countries with significant influence in the East Asian Region, China, Japan and Korea shared common interests in encouraging innovation and protecting intellectual property (IP), and faced different problems.

Since 2010 when the CIPS, the IPAJ and the KIPLA established friendly cooperative relationships, the three sides visited each other frequently and held academic symposiums at the three countries regularly each year, conducing pragmatic exchanges and cooperation on heated topics such as the construction of IP law system, IP strategy and IP practices in the three countries. Through continuously deepening cooperation, the three sides promoted their IP developments and gave powerful supports to the communication and cooperation of economy, science and technology and culture in the three countries, bringing strong vitality.
