He Zhimin Meets with Sakpatenti Chairman in Beijing

 

BEIJING, May.18 -- Recently, He Zhimin, Deputy Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office of P.R.C. (SIPO) met with Mr. Nikoloz Gogilidze, Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia (Sakpatenti), and Ms. Sophio Mujiri, Deputy Chairman of Sakpatenti, in Beijing. During the meeting, the two sides reached consensus on several topics concerning the pragmatic cooperation between China and Georgia in the field of Intellectual Property (IP).

He Zhimin firstly reviewed the exchanges and cooperation between China and Georgia in the IP field in the past few years. He said that it would be great that the two sides continue to seek cooperation in high-level exchanges, IP policy and strategy, personnel training, patent information and data exchange. He also encouraged the two sides to fulfill the "Belt and Road" initiative's goals in the IP field by raising their cooperative level, and hence realizing common development. He then introduced the experience of and recent situation regarding the Chinese patent system's development, its work system construction, strategy implementation, and IP international cooperation.

Nikoloz Gogilidze gave positive remarks on the achievements of China and Georgia's IP cooperation. He also said that China achieved great success in its IP development, and that Georgia looked forward to learning from China's experience in IP work, especially in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Protection, the administrative enforcement of IP law, strategy making and implementation, IP publicity, and personnel training.
