Recently, Gan Shaoning, Deputy Commissioner of SIPO (State Intellectual Property Office) met Seung-Ho Ahn, Senior Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics.

Gan Shaoning welcomed Seung-Ho Ahn and his companions. He pointed out that both China and South Korea have quite active communication in various aspects. The recent state visit to China by Park Geun-hye, President of South Korea has further advanced the two countries’ relations, opened a new chapter for the two-side cooperation. China and South Korea will take this opportunity and continuously deepen the two sides’ cooperation in IPR. During the meeting, Gan Shaoning briefly introduced China’s patent laws and policies system, and patent administrative law enforcement system. Mr. Gan emphasized that China has been paying high attention to strengthen law enforcement, vigorously strike down Infringement and counterfeiting behaviors, and treat domestic and foreign enterprises equally, so as to safeguard rights-holders’ legitimate rights and interests.

Seung-Ho Ahn expressed his thanks for Gan Shaoning to take the time to meet with them, and gave a high appraisal to China’s achievements in IPR protection and other aspects. He said that they are willing to strengthen communication with SIPO on talents training and business communication.
