The 6th China Patent Week Opens

 

On November 29, the 6th China Patent Week with the theme of relying on patent and intelligence to protect innovation and change our life, organized by SIPO, takes place in Nanjing and branch fields nationwide. SIPO Commissioner Tian Lipu and Jiangsu Governor Li Xueyong attended the opening ceremony of the event and 2012 China (Nanjing) Patent Fair held in Nanjing. WIPO Director General Francis Gurry sent a video message to congratulate the opening ceremony of the event.


"The 18th CPC National Congress report pointed out that it's necessary to implement IPR strategy, strengthen IPR protection, effectively allocate and fully integrate innovation resources to ensure the wisdom and strength of the whole society are directed towards promoting innovation-driven development. These requirements provide guidance for the development of Chinese IPR cause. Under the guidance of the Scientific Outlook on Development, SIPO will continue to work out more policies and measures and provide service from the aspects of industry, areas, and enterprises to realize patent leading, resource gathering, effective utilization and innovative drive." Tian stressed in his speech at the opening ceremony.


The event guests also paid a visit to the 2012 China (Nanjing) Patent Fair after the opening ceremony.


The event is held from  November 29 to December 5 around the country. During the event, a series of activities including the 14th China patent award presentation ceremony, patent fairs and high-level symposium will be held as well. Beijing, Shanghai and other places also hold many activities.
