Yang Tiejun Meets With Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit

 

On February 10, Yang Tiejun, Deputy Commissioner of China's State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) met with Randall R. Rader, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC), and other members of the delegation in Beijing.

Yang conveyed greeting of Tian Lipu, Commissioner of SIPO, to Mr. Rader, and gave him a warm welcome. Yang said SIPO and CAFC have maintained sound exchanges and cooperation in the field of intellectual property rights (IPR) protection, and those communications are helping both sides seek common ground regarding IPR issues. Mr. Rader expressed appreciation for hosting of the meeting, as well as hopes that both sides could further deepen communications.

During the talks, both sides exchanged views on the issues of hosting relevant seminars and enhancing Sino-U.S. cooperation in the field of IPR. Yang introduced SIPO's work in patent examination.
