The China-German Symposium on 30th Anniversary of IPR Cooperation jointly held by SIPO and the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA, Deutsche Patent- und Markenamt in German) was held on October 11. SIPO Commissioner Tian Lipu and DPMA President Cornelia Rudloff-Schaeffer attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech.

SIPO and DPMA have maintained long, close and friendly cooperative relationship. This year marks the 30th anniversary of this memorable cooperation, which is still evolving by leaps and bounds, said Tian.

Schaeffer said in her speech that after 30 years' efforts and cooperation, SIPO has become a modern patent examination and administration authority. The two sides shall further strengthen the exchange and cooperation in this regard.
