Some 3,361 projects had secured the loan of 31.85 billion yuan (including equivalents of foreign currency) from January 2006 to June 2011, providing a strong support for the SMEs development, sources from SIPO said recently.

A representative from the Patent Administration Department of SIPO said that SIPO has launched IPR pledge financing pilot projects in nearly 20 areas in China. Some 400 SMEs secured a loan of more than 3 billion yuan in 2010, licensing contract record of the pledge has increased for 5 consecutive years with annual growth rate of 70% in pledge financing amount.
