Recently, the 6th Session of Conference for Deputy Commissioners of Five Intellectual Property Offices in China, the U.S.A, European Union, Japan and the Republic of Korea convened in Tokyo, Japan. Deputy Commissioner Li Yuguang of State Intellectual Property Office of P.R.C. (SIPO) led the delegation to attend the Session. World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) sent representatives to sit in on the Session as observers.
The Session heard the latest progresses of 10 basic cooperative projects among Five Intellectual Property Offices, had an exchange of views on important matters and reached consensus about the contents of most of discussion topics. At the Session, the documents including the “2012-2013 Targets of Cooperation among Five Intellectual Property Offices”, the “Prospects for Cooperation among Five Intellectual Property Offices” and the “Plan for Updating the Websites of Five Intellectual Property Offices” were approved and the consensus about future work arrangements of Five Intellectual Property Offices was reached.
