Mr. He Hua, Deputy Director of the State Intellectual Property Office of the PRC, met with Mr. Shaw, Deputy CEO of BIO on February 23th. Both sides exchanged their views upon subjects of mutual concern in IPR.

Mr. He Hua pointed out that a strengthened communication between the patent examination and approval authorities and the users are significant for both sides. We are willing to hear more views and suggestions from users to improve the work of the State Intellectual Property Office, which is striving to meet the challenges from the increased patent applications and applicants. And thus more communications with the enterprises in fields like new technology development is highly evaluated and expected. Mr. Shaw pointed out that BIO attaches great importance to the exchange with China's State Intellectual Property Office, and is looking forward to further communications in many areas.
