The Fifth Liaison Meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Joint for the Implementation of the National Intellectual Property Strategy Held

 

The Fifth Liaison Meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Joint for the Implementation of the National Intellectual Property Strategy was held. Mr. Gan Shaoning, the joint member and deputy director of the State Intellectual Property Office, attended and addressed the meeting. Also attending the meeting were more than 70 other participants who are liaisons and contacts from 28 joint member units.

The meeting summed up the implementations of the Strategy in 2010 among different divisions and at different local levels. The National Intellectual Property Strategy Promotion Plan for 2011 and The National Intellectual Property Strategy Summary of 2010 were also discussed. Besides, the attendees exchanged experiences drawn from the implementation of the Strategy, and further studied into the task for 2011.

At the meeting, it is stressed that the CPC Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to IPR work, and it is made clear that in the current situation, the motivation for forging ahead IPR Strategy is dual: one is to deal with the international competition, and the other is to promote innovation and speed up the transformation of the mode of economic growth. It is also required that all the divisions continuously deepen the understanding of the Strategy, clarify priorities, pay close attention to the revision and improvement of the annual promotion plan, effectively realize the plan, and work together to materialize the implementation. The Joint Office is expected to play the role of coordination efficiently, as well as supervision and assessment for the realization of the plan, to ensure that plans and tasks are completed on schedule.
