On 12th of October, Mr. Tian Lipu, the Commissioner of SIPO, met a delegation of FICPI in Beijing for the revised China Patent Law and implementation of China National IP Strategy.

Mr. Tian appreciated FICPI's aims, actions and the influence on global IP course in the meeting, and also introduced the basic function of SIPO and the progress of China's Outline of National Intellectual Property Strategy. According to him, SIPO accepted 1,002,000 foreign applications until this September, showing the confidence to China market and investment environment from overseas innovators. "SIPO will continue to provide good service to all applicants", he said.

P. Huntsman, Chairman of PICPI, congratulated the achievement of Chinese IP course to Tian, and introduced the basic information of FICPI.
