The fifth deputy-director-general level conference for China, US, EU, Japan and Korea was launched in Geneva, Switzerland. The SIPO Deputy Commissioner Li Yuguang attended the conference. WIPO representative also showed up at the conference as an observer.

Latest progress and important notices on the ten basic programs among the five IP administrations were reported to the conference, and documents about five-country's cooperation for 2012-2013, cooperation and coordination plan as well as websites updating plan were passed. In addition, the five director-generals reached a consensus on the work in the future, and discussed how to improve work timeliness and information sharing.

At the conference, SIPO delegation and other four counterparts exchanged their views on the ten basic programs and other issues, and achieved consensuses on most of them.
