Headed by Gan Shaoning, Deputy Commissioner, a SIPO delegation paid a visit to Singapore from 15th to 18th September, and held a meeting with Mr. K. Shanmugam, Minister of Ministry of Law, and Mr. Cheng Choong Hung, Deputy Director General of Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) respectively.

Mr. Cheng Choong Hung gave a brief introduction of IPOS, the measures against infringement and invalidation suit, the experiences of arbitration of IP infringement as well as how to help enterprises to deal with patent suits, and finance by mortgage of IPRs. 

In discussions with the officials from Singapore Criminal Investigation Department and Singapore Customs, Mr. Gan introduced the information about the IPR protection from China criminal departments and Chinese Customs as well as China National IP Strategy.

He also discussed the IP enforcement cooperation in other Singapore government departments.
