SIPO commissioner Tian Lipu, EPO President Benot Battistelli and deputy ambassador of Delegation of the European Commission to China Michael Pulch delivered keynote speeches at the Europe Patent Office Day, or EPO, of Shanghai Expo, which was held in EU-Belgium pavilion. “Concerted efforts should be made to facilitate the innovation activities of China and EU countries by constantly elevating the cooperation level”, according to Tian.

 

Tian said, outstanding achievements have been made in many fields after SIPO established a strategic cooperation relation with EPO 25 years ago. The two sides should constantly elevate cooperation level and create a sound environment for innovation protection for business community.

 

Battistelli said in his speech that EPO would further strengthen the friendly cooperation relationship with SIPO and facilitate the improvement of international patent system and economic trade of two sides.
